Top Five Products Getting Me Through Winter

It’s that time of year again… it’s freezing outside and boiling the minute you step inside. It’s great getting all cosy by the fire but my skin is definitely not feeling the same way! For a few weeks it’s has been at its worst, so bad my foundation was looking horrendous and basically I just felt rubbish…

Since then, however, I’ve got a new routine and found some key products which are helping my skin feel plump and dewy again, no matter what the weather is doing. So, right now, here are my ultimate top 5 products for getting me through this winter:

Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

Cleansing for me has always been the most important step in my routine and whilst I’ve always been a fan of balm cleansers, since becoming more educated about clean ingredients I’ve found a new way! The Body Shop Camomile Oil Cleanser has become my go-to cleanser and it feels amazing. It strips away the dirt, SPF, makeup and anything unwanted without taking the moisture with it. It leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated but also very clean.  I’ve really noticed a difference with this and think if you have dry or sensitive skin, using a gentle oil cleanser could do wonders for your skin.

FourthRay Soak It Up Hydrating Mask*

I will be honest, I’ve only tried this mask once but that’s how good it is that I would put it in my top 5 after just one try. My skin was finally getting back to normal but it still had its down days. This weekend I was travelling and another change meant my skin got super dry again. When I got home I chucked on this mask and didn’t think a lot of it. The cream mask is supposed to rejuvenate dry, sluggish skin and that’s just what it did. Almost immediately my skin looked better and following my new evening routine, my skin looked backed to its glowing summer self. This is a winning product for me!

Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sunscreen*

This product has been doing the rounds on instagram and after hearing some of my favourite Instagrammers rave about it, I was intrigued to say the least. I have been trying various sunscreens for some time. Either they don’t work for my sensitive skin, they leave a white mark, they’re very greasy or very sticky. This one is formulated for sensitive skin and soothes and protects at the same time. It feels more like a moisturiser than a sunscreen and it absorbs lightening fast into the skin. What I like most is that it feels like it’s hydrating as well as protecting. And yes, before you ask, sunscreen is still a must even in winter!

Willow Nightly Rejuvination Balm*

This is a product I have been using for some time. No matter what it’s one I keep coming back to. If my skin needs that extra boost of hydration at the end of my routine (which is a lot lately) this one is sure to work every time. It can feel a little greasy but this tends to be only if you use too much and it’s so thick I would only use when my skin is feeling extra dry but I love how this one really targets my dehydration and leaves me waking up definitely feeling rejuvenated.

BeautyBio The Plump*

Another insta famous product… I find this really similar to LaLa by Drunk Elephant, another favourite of mine. This has retinol in it so is stronger but I feel like the extra hydration I get when I use as part of my routine has really improved getting my glow back. It locks in the moisture which is definitely needed this winter. And you can’t deny it looks amazing! Winner.
